The business

Axece is a wholesale broker based in Lyon, launched in July 2025 by founders with a proven track record of profitable growth in the demanding private hire vehicle sector. The firm offers an innovative 100% digital proposition for professional transport operators (taxi and private hire vehicles) along with a range of commercial combined insurance products for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Operating on a wholesale brokerage model, Axece manages a network of broker partners and operates in a B2B2C market where speed of deployment and effective distribution network management are critical competitive factors.

Challenge and objectives

As a newly established wholesale brokerage, Axece faced a major challenge: building from scratch a technology infrastructure capable of supporting rapid and ambitious growth.

The firm required a comprehensive digital solution to:

  • simultaneously launch several complex insurance products,
  • manage the onboarding and oversight of a network of retail broker distributors,
  • ensure seamless and automated underwriting.

To support its growth and launch its new products (private hire vehicles, taxis, commercial combined), Axece sought a platform capable of managing its entire value chain: distribution, online underwriting, dynamic rating and portfolio management. The objective: rapid deployment without having to develop the entire technical infrastructure in-house.

The solution

  • Digitalisation of the complete customer journey: from initial quotation and underwriting through to day-to-day servicing (renewals, mid-term adjustments, cancellations)

  • Integrated billing module handling direct debits, pro-rata premiums and arrears tracking

  • Launch of private hire vehicle & taxi product in July 2025
  • Rollout of commercial combined product for retail and restaurant businesses in January 2026
  • Scalable architecture enabling progressive expansion into other business verticals

Results

Through this partnership commenced in July 2025, Axece has achieved tangible results:

  • Express launch within 3 months of the first private hire vehicle & taxi product, with a fully operational platform
  • Three-fold increase in policy count over the last quarter
  • Several hundred engaged brokers
  • Launch of a second product (commercial combined) in January 2026, just 6 months after commencement
